Celebrate Independence Day on Drummond Island with a full day of community fun, festive activities, and spectacular fireworks! This annual tradition brings locals and visitors together for a patriotic celebration for all ages.
The day kicks off with the parade at 12:00 PM, beginning at the former H&H General Store (Water Street Café) and ending at the school ballfield. This year’s theme is CELEBRATE! America’s 250th! Semiquincentennial.
After the parade, head to the ballfield for family-friendly games, races, and delicious food, including treats from the Drummond Island Lions Club and strawberry shortcake from the Drummond Island Homemakers.
The day ends with a fireworks show at dusk at the ballfield, free to attend. Donations to support the fireworks are gratefully accepted at local businesses, including Sunes Hardware, Sunes Grocery, EZ Mart, Yacht Haven, Fort Drummond Marine, The Country Store, DI Outfitters, and the Drummond Island Tourism Association (DITA).
