Clyde & Martha Williams Nature Preserve

The Williams Preserve Trail on Drummond Island, managed by the Little Traverse Conservancy, is a 1.4-mile trail that winds through diverse forest habitats, including upland mixed hardwood and conifer stands, northern hardwoods, and lowland cedar and birch areas. Small sections of fallow fields now grow bracken fern, blackberry, and young trees, while rocky soils, large boulders, and visible post-glacial lake shorelines add interest along the way. Hikers may also spot an old stone wall built by early Island settlers.
