Sunken Crane
In the fall of 2005, a tugboat towing a barge along the south shore of Drummond Island lost partial control during rough seas, sending a large construction crane overboard. Never recovered, the crane now rests upright on the lake bottom — boom collapsed forward — in 70 feet of water. An unusual and memorable dive for those drawn to modern maritime wrecks.
